How Tail Swaggers began:

What started as a passionate pet-care side hustle during my college years quickly blossomed into a full-time dream. After adopting Bell, a fearful golden retriever, I learned firsthand how high-quality training and thoughtful structure could transform a dog’s life—for her and for me. That experience shaped everything you see here today. Tail  Swaggers isn’t just about fun—it’s about environment, education, and empowerment—both for your dog and for you as a leader.

How did I get into training?

Tail Swaggers was born from a mix of heart, hard lessons, and one dog who changed everything.

Years ago, I was just like many of the families I work with today—juggling a busy life, deeply loving my dog, but feeling overwhelmed by her behavior. Bell, my Golden Retriever, came into my life with big feelings and even bigger fears. I didn’t just want her to listen—I wanted her to feel safe and trust me. But I had no idea how to help her… until I realized that leadership, not control, was the missing piece.

What started as a personal mission to better understand and support my own dog grew into a full-blown business that now helps families across Fort Worth create peace, structure, and connection with their dogs.

At Tail Swaggers, I’ve built more than a training company—I’ve built a community that empowers dog owners to become confident leaders. Because when you learn how to lead with clarity and purpose, everything changes—not just for your dog, but for your entire home.
