Board and Train Programs

Puppy Board & Train - $3,000

Training starts as soon as you bring your puppy home! This 2 week program is wonderful to get your puppy a head start on their training, crate manners, name recognition, confidence building, a solid potty schedule, engagement games and introducing them to their basic commands.

This program is all on leash and focuses on creating a solid routine & schedule for your dog to prevent unwanted accidents in the home. It is for dog’s 2-4 months of age.

The Foundation Program - $3,900

This 3-week board and train program is built for the owner who wants their dog to be reliable, well-behaved, and ready for real life—at home, on leash, and off. Your dog will live in a home environment and train daily in both indoor and public settings, gaining the skills and structure needed to navigate everyday life with confidence. We cover foundational obedience commands (sit, down, place, come, heel, and stay) and work toward off-leash reliability through consistent leadership and clear communication.

Whether it’s walking through your neighborhood, visiting dog-friendly patios, or simply having a calm home, this program lays the groundwork for the life you want to live with your dog. We also coach you—the owner—so you feel confident continuing the progress at home and leading your dog with clarity and purpose.

The Reset Board & Train Program - $4,200

Some dogs need more than just basic training—they need structure, clarity, and calm leadership to feel safe in the world. This program is designed for dogs struggling with separation anxiety, leash reactivity, and intense fear or nervousness. Over the course of 3 weeks, your dog will live in our home and be guided through real-life exposure, confidence-building routines, and foundational obedience skills that support their emotional regulation. While here, they’ll learn to trust, settle, and follow clear direction—both inside the home and out in public. Most importantly, we’ll equip you with the tools, mindset, and leadership skills to continue supporting your dog once they return home. This isn’t a quick fix—it’s a step toward a calmer, more connected life together.

No more frustration. No more second-guessing. Just a well-trained dog and a home filled with harmony.

Let’s work together to unlock your dog’s greatness!

 FAQs

  • South/west Fort Worth! I train your dog's from the comfort of my home. This allows them to feel right at home and provides them the opportunity to get trained around real world scenarios.

  • All dog vaccinations must be up to date for Rabies, DHPP, and Bordatella. Emailed proof must be sent to info@tailswaggers.org.

  • It is exactly what it sounds like….balanced.  It’s a balanced approach to training and modifying behavior in your dog.  As a balanced dog trainer, I reward for the positive and the behaviors that I want to keep seeing, and correct for the unwanted behaviors (barking, pulling, jumping, digging, leash reactivity, resource guarding, aggression, etc) that I don’t want to see.

Corrections do not mean pain though, instead, it involves teaching a dog that actions have consequences and the right choices equal good things!  It’s very similar to parenting.  If you only rewarded your child and never gave them consequences for bad behavior, there is a good chance that your child will continue doing that behavior.  In the same way you tell a child “don’t do that”, we have to communicate with our dog.

However, our dogs communicate differently than we do.  They are touch learners first, and verbal learners last; whereas we are verbal learners first and touch learners last.  So, our dogs communicate best through training tools like a slip leash, prong collar, or e collar (not a shock collar).  This is why balanced trainers have so much success when training dogs because we can communicate with your dog using positive rewards and corrections in the timing that your dog learns best, which happens to be 1.3 seconds.  The reality of it is, at some point your dog needs a correction, and when done properly, with the right energy your dog will learn what is and isn’t expected of them.

As a balanced trainer, I have a tool box of tools to use, and depending on the dog I am working with, I will use different tools and techniques to find that right combination to help empower owners to live their best life with their dog.

  • I hear you, being away from your dog is hard... but let me ask you something: Would you rather invest in training that only last 3 weeks to help eliminate unwanted behaviors you are frustrated with so that we you can truly enjoy a fulfilled life alongside your dog? Or say no, and continue to live in frustration forever with a dog that doesn't listen, barks at everything, and chooses to run off the first chance it gets?

Both decisions are hard. Only one of those choices leads you closer to the dream life and relationship you desire to have with your dog.

Last, you will see your dog throughout the training program. I provide updates on my instagram stories so you can watch their progress.

  • Yes absolutely! I upload pictures and videos of your dog on my instagram story so you can watch their progress and learn right along with them.

  • Yes of course. I offer financing through Klarna and AfterPay for all of my programs so you can book your dog's training date and pay off the program on your own time!

  • Treats, slip leash, clickers, prong collars, and e collars.

  • E collar stands for electric collar and uses and electrical stimulation (like a tens unit system), not a shock.  The e collar has 100 levels on it whereas a shock collar only has a few levels and it is actually shocking your dog.  The e collar costs about $200 and a shock collar ranges from $30-$70.  Most dog trainers use E collar Technologies or Dogtra, and for a good reason.  The quality of these collars are the best in the industry.  Remember, your dog is a touch learner first which is what the e collar provides for you.  It is the best tool to communicate to your dog at low levels in the timing that they learn best, it stops unwanted behaviors, it acts as an invisible leash, it provides safety and a better relationship with your dog.  However, it is extremely important to introduce an e collar to your dog properly so that it can be associated to a positive.  If you don’t know how to introduce an e collar to your dog properly, reach out to a trainer to help you!
